Mercedes V710 Phone?
I have the V60 Motorola phone and would like to upgrade to the much better V710 phone. The accessories for 2005 show this phone, get the dealer says MB has not released it yet. Any ideas when you will finally release it??

I urge you to write a letter to MBUSA and complain that they are not supporting upgraded handsets for older systems. There is no reason why you should not be able to buy a newer Motorola phone and cradle that will work with your system. The life cycle of a cellphone is far shorter than that of a Mercedes. MBUSA should have thought of this when they designed the system. Send the letter to:

If enough people complain they will address the issue. At the moment they are being very aragant about the situation. However, customer satisfaction is a top priority and if they see enough letters they will do something about it.

SL500 and A-CLASS
I already wrote one and fax it over. I can not get a phone in my 2004 SL500 because the Cingular phones that Mercedes sells will not work in my area. My area uses GSM.
By the way, how is the Verizon voice quality? I herd it is a lot better than Cingular.

I have both, VZW and Cingular. Both have very strong RF here where I live. VZW sound quality is better because CDMA does not has the minor buzzing noise in the background like GSM. But I have learned to hold the GSM phone in a way that I don't hear it enough to bother me.
