Factory to dealer incentives/"trunk money"

Edmunds.com, new cars, incentives and rebates will list the factory to dealer cash available on most Mercedes models. kbb.com only lists customer rebates.
Currently, the R500 has $10,000 trunk money and the R350 has $7000 trunk money, but they raised the MF on the R500 lease to .00400, effectively negating the benefit of the additional $3000. Good luck! These forums are a great source of info!! (Check edmunds.com forums and benzworld.org forum for other personal experiences with purchasing and leasing mb's)

Hmmm ... that would be good info. Not sure if a dealer would want to display it or not.

'19 E63S sedan
I also wonder if it varies by region? During my search for an '06 S65, I was given varying numbers for factory-to-dealer assistance by dealers in different parts of the country. At least some were probably accurate, as the disclosures were made when a deal was not in the cards (as in discussions after I had already purchased the car from another dealer).

Admitedly the S65 is a special case (loading the pipeline with W220s and immediately announcing the W221 ), so MBUSA might have had to help out dealers in areas that would have been expected to be the car's primary markets.

2006 E class has $7000 in the trunk

fyi edmunds (and my area dealers in NYC) report that 2006 E classes have $7000 in the trunk (though not the AMGs I would suspect).

I thought I was pretty familiar with financing and leasing, but apparently not. What is "trunk money"?

also known as 'marketing support' or factory-to-dealer cash incentives

usually to help clear out 'last year's' inventory.
