2008 E350 September Lease deal - I have some questions

This looks like a GREAT lease deal... Check mbusa.com, you'll see there is a new lease deal on the 2008 E350 for the month of September (through October 1st):

$579/mo. for 39 mo.

$579 first month payment
$2,850 cap cost reduction
$795 acquisition fee
__________________
$4,224 Total cash due at signing

________________________
DETAILS:
MSRP - $54,085 less the suggested dealer contribution resulting in a total gross cap cost of $51,457.41 <-- (Does this mean that the dealer gets $2627.59 money from MBUSA?)

Total monthly payments = $22,581
Total payments with cash due at signing = $26,226

$0.25/mile over 32,500 miles and $595 vehicle turn-in fee

Purchase option at lease end for $30,828.45
______________________

I'm really wondering if that "suggested dealer contribution" is a cash incentive to the dealer... If so, then I can definitely negotiate another $2000 or so off the MSRP of this car, I'm thinking... I'd like to get the MSRP down to below $50,000... I live in Northern Virginia...

Any thoughts on this lease would be helpful. Thanks!

Looks like a great deal...

I put down $3K down for 33months and paying $637, hope that helps.

If you have any further questions just PM me.

Did that include Cali sales tax or did you pay that extra?

Thanks...

Here's the deal I finalized, I think I got a decent deal...

39 mo. / 10k miles

MSRP: $56,620 (Negotiated gross cap cost is right around $50k, so about $1000 below invoice)
Doc fee $299
$87 tags
3.2% sales tax
Acq. fee: $1095 (Yes, they mark it up $300!)

NOTHING down, just first months payment: $720/month

I hate to say its too much and I dont know if you already made the deal.... I have mine for $637 for 33months which means I'll be paying $22K for total. (Depreciation)

As for yours $720mo for 39month will come to $28,080 <<<See what I mean... What's the Residual and Money Factor for this car if you dont mind asking.

You should be in the low $600s range. so I suggest keep trying hard negotiating....and if you need anything else let me know or PM. I love to help...

Sent you a PM... I need to know how you "pushed for this deal"...

I am also on the fence about the CLK350 and the E350! The e350 Sport (like yours) would be a far better value and at $600/all-in. It's a gimme. I was thinking $2k down... but whatever.

I look forward to any tips/advice you can share.

No worries... I am supposed to pick up the car tomorrow, so there is still time to negotiate But, I called two other dealers, and got right around the same number... low 700s...

Money factor is 155, residual is 57% <-- exactly per the sticky post for september lease rates... 10k miles/year

Thoughts? I ran the numbers and it looked like a good deal... They are selling the car for over $6000 under MSRP...

Talking Bought for invoice in Colorado

Best deal I could get in Colorado this week:

'08 E350 4MATIC, Arctic white/Cashmere MB Tex, P1 with Sports package, Burl Walnut trim, iPod integration, headlamp washers at invoice $52,915.

They upped the MF to .00195, and Acq. fee to $1,095, plus dealer fee of $399. Probably could have negotiated down another $500, but I was happy to get exactly the car I was looking for and not having to wait (car was just off the truck, with 9 miles on the clock and still had the plastic on). They threw in couple of hundred $s in freebies to close the deal. Took less than 30 minutes to sort it all out, and drove off a couple of hours later.

Reading the threads here helped a lot with the negotiating, so a big Thank You to everyone here.
