Residuals posted are for 15K miles/year. Add 2% to Residual for 12k mi/yr and 3% for 10k mi/yr on all terms

Compare Lease Payments for Used Mercedes Models HERE

Use the following formula to calculate a lease payment:

(Cap Cost – Residual Value) / Term = Depreciation
(Cap Cost + Residual Value) X Money Factor = Interest
Depreciation + Interest = Base Monthly Payment

Thanks for the info.
How sad that for a C300 sport, even thought the MF went down, so did the residual and therefore negating any price lowering. That and adding in the fact that they raised the price of the cars made my calculated payments around $5 more a month for a 36 month lease.

Question - New to calculating all this stuff myself.

How does it affect the rates, if you want more miles?

What miles per year are these rates based on?

When I calculate my car (and add the sales tax on), my payment is $25 more per month than these figures show. Does that mean I got ripped off on a money factor or something, or could it be because I got 15,000 miles per year? What number do they change, when you get more miles? The money factor or residual value, or both?

Now I was 39 months, but my residual matches the 36 months, so it probably makes no difference?

Edit ooops - see they were for 15k a year. Hum, my residual amount comes out right, so that would mean I got ripped off on the money factor, correct? This whole car buying stuff makes me sick. I sure wish I had studied more before leasing.

It taught me a lot at least.

Don't panic yet.

Have you already signed the deal and give some details on the model.

Yes, I've had the car a while. I guess $20 more per month cause of a bad money factor isn't the end of the world. 800+ credit rating though, so I would have liked to get what was listed here. It was a C300 Sport. It's also that they got me in so many areas, now add another one to the list: money factor and acquisition fee.

Hi Tarry,

Can you help me out? I'm in Canada and looking to lease a 2008 Mercedes.

I have been reading through some of the posts in this section and also noticed that you indicated that you would have a Canadian site (www.leasecompare.ca). However, that link doesn't work for me, so I assume those plans never came through.

I'm looking at leasing a C350, 4matic with the premium package in Canada. What should I be looking at paying? I will probably drive it 18,000 km / year. Actually, probably less, but I think the cost between 12K and 18K was not that much.

Can you let me know your thoughts or if I need to provide more information, please let me know.

Thanks.

Strange, the MF seems to have gone up for the s550 4matic. I would have thought that they would have lowered MF to increase slowing sales.
One question, do you pay sales tax on interest also?

The good thing about a lease promotional ad is that you know that the manufacturer is subventing the lease with either a low money factor and/or an inflated residual, ultimately lowering your monthly payments. However, this special requires a customer cap cost reduction (down payment) of over $4000. I would not advise making a cap cost reduction of this size. Rather, you can negotiate a better cap cost (selling price), as the ad assumes only an $1888 discount from the MSRP.

This particular vehicle has a spread of around $4000 between MSRP and Invoice. Invoice up to a few hundred over invoice would be a reasonable cap cost on this vehicle, especially if you're in a competitive market region. You might even be able to dip below invoice if they really want move a unit.

Be more aggressive when negotiating the cap cost, and keep that additional $4000 in your pocket. My advice would to pay only drive offs: 1st month payment, acquisition fee ($795) + DMV fees. Security is waived on this particular lease.

I worked up a sample payment for you based on capping the cost at ~invoice disregarding that large cap cap cost reduction. Based on the 63% residual and .00155 mf, your pretax monthly payments would be ~ $760/mo. Remember, the lease is based on 10k annual miles and assumes you take delivery of a vehicle equipped exactly as specified in the ad.

Good Luck!

$699/ w/ $5455 down 33 month term.

is this a good deal who can give me a better deal? I'm ready to buy!(i need tow package)

One thing you have to remember when looking on the MB website is that they always use a base model for MSRP lease calculations. In addition, they do not calculate in sales tax or any dealer fee's. Good luck with your search and here's hoping you find yourself in a GL soon.

C300 Sport/Palladium Silver on Black/P2
Hi. Question

At the top it says it was effective 1/7/2008, so a day or two before that they would have used December rates? Thanks.
