Cheaper side mirror covers?

Are there any cheaper alternative to side mirror covers apart from the dealer carbon fibre ones? Does any place have black ones? Are they basically just a mask that goes on top of the side mirror?

The covers are usually just like a mask that goes on the actual mirrors, usually with 3m double sided tape. and the aftermarket companies should be selling them soon on ebay.. but i do think they are the same size as the 11' models and if you search on ebay they should have some available, i think. lol

So far on ebay most of them seem to be conversion ones for the pre-facelift models to new look. Or they are stickers. But the stickers also cost like 200$+ so in that case I will just pay 400 to get the mask from the dealer so that it doesn't look ghetto.

I also checked mercedes online and it is a 750$ option in Canada to add them to C63! A few people have them on here and they look good. I know the guy with the front lip spoiler on his white coupe has them.

Stickers are cheap, but they will peel over time and it will look bad. I think it might be best to wait and see what will be available soon.

yeah i saw the coupe with the front lip, i would rather get that first before i get the covers. and i would wait too because i know for sure that they will come out with some real soon just like when the c class 08 models first came out.

the cf looks cool. BUT, what I really want to change is the cheap looking plastic support/base that goes on the bottom and is attached to the door.

If you buy from dealer, you will get the whole mirror cover in carbon fiber. Mine is only a mask that use 3m stick over the cover. And it doesn't cover the whole thing but it fits perfectly.

btw, i got it for $200

I agree, I've always hated the non painted black plastic on mirrors. I wish the whole thing was the color of the car. That plastic is tough to get paint to stick to as well. I've tried to get other cars painted and each body shop I took it to warned me that it would probably not last very long.

Hey guys, I just want to follow up to tell you that I got the carbon fiber mirror cover from ebay (from my second link). It looks pretty good and is a cheap alternative from getting the OEM CF side mirrors. It is the complete side mirror housing. There are some filment issues, but you won't notice unless you are looking for them and up close.

Ok, so is the original turn signal covered by the clear plastic of the CF cover? eBay pics make the covers look bulky. Did you connect the light underneath the mirrors?

No, the one I got is the entire CF mirror housing. So basically it replaces the OEM side mirrors. I did not connect the puddle lights.
