Light underneath the door

I saw a B-Class owner opened his door and there's a bright light underneath the door for entry. I checked mine but doesn't have it. Does coupe owners has it?

AFAIK that would be the 'puddle light' under the rear view door mirrors

C Coupes do have those

I know for sure that in the U.S.A. you don't have the puddle lights under the side mirrors, nor is it possible to get them...

Additionally, we don't even have footwell ambient lighting that the sedans have... Go figure...

An "Interior lighting package" was available in the list of options I was presented here in New Zealand. It did mention footwell lighting and safety lights in the doors. However, the one thing I completely fail to understand is why Mercedes doesn't include these options as standard. It is after all, a luxury automobile brand.

I had to pay additional $$ for heated seats....whereas it is standard for most other brands.

Also, things such as electronically folding mirrors are standard in cheap Japanese cars like the Honda Jazz/Fit and we have to pay extra for this as an option!!! It seems a little stupid to me.

That's pretty weird - so the coupes don't get the puddle lights under the mirrors or the footwell lighting? Do they get the lights in the door handles and door pulls? Do the vent airflow dials light up? I remember those didn't in the C 2XX back during the W203 days.

Interior light package covers

- Puddle lights at the side mirror
- Footwell light
- Aircon vent control light
- Door open/pull light from the inside
- Drawer light by the door

Cost less than $250 bucks. I concur this is an affordable feature as a standard. Why place them as option?? I raised this to SA. As usual, you get treated with a smile...I hope MB Germany is listening here!
