Speaker rattle
Hello guys,
I have a C250c, two months old. When I listen to bassy music I have a rattling sound coming from door panels. Does anyone here have the same problem?
Thanks,

That's normal. I blast EDM on my H/K (premium 1 package) system all the time. Just make sure you don't have anything in the side pockets rattling against the plastic and it will minimize it. Maybe you can tell them to tighten stuff during service.

I noticed this today, very annoying, the sound seems to be originating around the trim of where the tweeter on the driver side door is
my trim around the tweeter seems flexible and loose

I have heard things in my ears that I thought was a rattle or acoustic anomaly in my ride, or the vibration on the foot pedals when the tunes are cranked up, You maybe have a loose trim piece but I suspect your jamming out loud and cranking up the bass and hearing things? Not questioning your issue but I'm a perfectionist and I always find something that bugs me when I crank certain tunes ya know. If your trim is tight and clean then its probably ok and your just being **** like I am. Just a thought and its all good

guys,
It's really there and you're hearing right. Try this, in mine when I push my knee against the door panel it totally goes away, just pure music, but as soon as I remove the pressure it's back again. I'm not talking high bass and high volume. I have reduced the bass to -5 or 6 and I can still hear this even at low volumes. Anyhow, I have taken my car to the dealership and I'll let u know what they have to say.

Just got back from dealership, they told me they have opened the door panel and checked everything, It's all normal, the guy told me he even tried the same music on another C250 and got the same noise! It's a shame, Mercedes is ruining H/K!!!

I have noticed this too, but not nearly as abundantly present as some mention... I only hear it when the bass is cranked up, along with the volume. But what I do find a bit "odd", is that it seems that the rattles are "inconsistent" between driver and passenger side. That is, the driver side panel will rattle and not the passenger side, or vice versa, when playing the same music.

Same but I believe it is from speakers behind rear seats in my car. I shifted sound more towards front and it is better now. My settings is always 100/100 on bass & treble on any of my cars

I have narrowed down the issue of the "speaker rattle" to the spot where the door jam connects with the dash, if I fill this gap with a bunched up piece of weather stripping, and place it where the X is in the picture and close the door, the pressure of the weather stripping keeps tension enough so the rattle stops, COMPLETELY.
Also, if you want to test quickly, jam your fingers in there while your listening to a song and the rattle disappears almost instantly.
What could this be??

So, Originally I thought it was coming from the corner panel on the door, but upon further inspection, I took the corner panel off, underneath you will see a crossover that is mounted by a single clip, the bottom of the crossover is what is vibrating against the metal piece it's mounted to.
This is how I fixed the rattle:
I coated the back of the crossover with dynamat, then 3 layers of 3m two way tape, clipped it back in and crisp clear sound with no vibration or rattle!
Easy fix to anyone that has this issue !

***UPDATE***
Went to the dealership to fix the rattle. Here is what they did,
720000 INSULATE DOOR LINING
- Apply FELT TAPE to insulate door paneling and harness to prevent rattleing
Also the front passenger speaker was also blown, so when that gets replaced hopefully all the rattles will be gone.
