I've been waiting for this grill for a while and finally saw it on ebay yesterday, just wondering if anyone knows if this grill going to fit on the coupe? I have emailed the seller and asked but they weren't sure if this would fit on the coupe.
thanks

2012 C250 Coupe
Sheesh, some people don't like to read any of my posts - makes me wonder sometimes why I bother writing things on here...
Anyways, yes, if a grille is made to fit the 2008-2011 W204 C-class (c300,c350) then it will fit the C250/c300/c350 2012 models. However, it secures using three areas. There are tabs along the bottom that hook into the bumper, two cylinder tabs on the sides that hook into notches on the sides of the grille, and a t-bar in the center behind the emblem that two holes snap into.
Everything secures from the old grille to the new coupes EXCEPT for this t-bar piece. The t-bar on the pre-facelift sedans are wider than on the coupe, so they won't meet and snap in. Not sure if this is the case on the new sedans...
Also, a C63 grille will not fit in a non-C63 model, and vice versa. You will need to get a C63 "STYLED" grille or replica. Which means, it is made to fit a C250/C300/C350 but looks like a C63 grille.
@ The guy who wanted a grille like that without the chrome surround. Try to lookup an "SL" styled grille. Looks just like the C63 style grille, but without the chrome surround.

I just received the C63 style grill that I ordered from ebay. It was a PITA to get the OEM grill out. Once it was out, it wasn't that hard to install. To get the bottom tabs to lock into place, I had to remove the plastic cover above the T bar and reach in to lock the tabs in place. And speaking of T bar, the C63 style grill does NOT have any T bar connector. I don't know if its specifically this grill, there is absolutely no give anywhere (possibly due to the plastic frame).
Theres one thing thats bugging me though, on the top corners, the grill doesn't flush that well with the hood. It protrudes alittle bit, but unless you are looking for it, most likely you wouldnt notice it. Oh yea and another thing, the space between the grill and the hood gets bigger as you go from the center to the corner.
Here is a picture of the finished product:

thank you for uploading the picture, I think it looks more unique and special by having this grill on, just wondering how long did it take you to remove the OEM grill and how did you do it?

An hour max. Most of it was spent being afraid of pushing and pulling too hard on the grill. Just follow jctevere's DIY and my tidbit about taking off the plastic cover to lock the new grill into place and you'll be fine.

Hey LookingBerrel, did you paint the bottom centre of your bumper black, or did you put some kind of an insert. In the picture above it almost looks like a piece of matte black plastic.
Thanks

Nice Job lookinbarrel, our cars look very similar. Haha.
FYI - plastidip now has a "glossifier" so that you can have gloss plasti-dip instead of just flat colors (like flat black). Peels off just like plasti-dip.

I will have to check that out. But I bought 3 bottles of matte pasti dip. Want to go though those first. But I prefer the matte look.
@yqku I will take pics of different angles this weekend.

just changed the grill and realized there is quite a big gap between the bottom of the 3 pointed start which attach to the bumper, wondering if anyone has that problem too?

Thanks. That means that we have good taste... Are you going to quad exhaust your C250? If you are, we'll be twins..With different noses..

Also, the glossifier can be used by itself - such as on chrome pieces to give it a "brushed aluminum look". I saw a video on YouTube detaling a few of the glossifier's various uses.

Hey Kevin, could you upload some close up pics of your grille from a few different angles please?
