VW Golf MKVI 118TSI and C250 CDI Coupe (on order)
AV1 I'm not sure why the dealers are suggesting different things but I certainly hope your dealer is correct! It makes sense though that Australia either doesn't get it or gets it earlier than 2014.

More likely, 4matic models will not be given the option of going with the sport pack.
I wonder if MBUSA will offer the Advanced Agility Package with 4Matics?

Not sure DL250 but miss-information on new model releases is always the go with dealers and that's goes for all brands

I do understand it is of interest for you as you may be able to option up some of these things into your current order - maybe keep hassling them for the facts

THIS !!! ^^^ That is what I am most interested in with these new sport options, having rev matching or blips on down shifts is an excellent feature IMHO, I certainly do hope it's a software update only as that may be possible to get, if it involves mechanical revisions to hardware, then it won't be possible to get.

c250 sport plus
Hi, I'm from England, I ordered two weeks ago, a new c250 amg coupe with the new sport plus option, amg handling package with privacy glass & lighting package in New polar white colour. I've been told the changes come into effect from June (my2013) and I can expect the car to be at the dealers by mid July. The sport plus was £1000 extra & the amg handling package was £530 extra on top of the normal amg sport coupe in the UK. In the uk the sport plus can be specified on all c class coupes but the amg handling package can only be specified for the c250cgi or c250cdi. The handling package adds amg suspension which is lower than the normal sports suspension, sports exhaust, larger brakes, direct speed sensitive steering, double declutching function, active downshifts when braking, more responsive accelerator, quicker shifts in m & s mode, sport badges on wings & mats, black grille & black mirrors. It seems that all countrys have different options and different standard specs. Cheers Phil

Yesterday I was given a copy of the MY 13 C-Class Coupe Dealer Ordering Guide (Product Management), and it specifically reveals the AMG suspension enhancements are only applicable to the C250's here, which are specified as AMG sport suspension, sport speed-sensitive steering with more direct ratio, larger braking system, special sport exhaust system, and sport shift mode w/rev matching. All other features of the "Sport Package" apply to both the C250C and the C350C/C350C4 (18" 7-double spoke AMG wheels black/polished, AMG rear spoiler in vehicle color, and the interior pieces). Apparently we are also getting the ECO Start/Stop feature in the C350's. Over here, the options will be known as the Sport Package (Code 956) for the 350's and the Sport Package PLUS (Code 956 + P84) for the 250.

Sounds similar to UK, I've also got a copy of the dealer ordering details/codes etc. and adds the visual items to the amg handling package such as the black mirrors, grille, and sport badges & mats, this isn't stated on the internet and these items are not included in the sport plus package. I'm just waiting now for the revised brochures and mb website to be updated with the new 2013 options. All 2013 cars will get the black / silver display and a new eco graph / function., except the c180, which here in the UK for 2013/June has changed from the 1.8 turbo engine to a 1.6 with same power output but better emissions & fuel economy. Not seen the polar white, dealer didn't have any details so hope its ok !

the cruise control thing feels like it is in the wrong place at first when you come from another car but once you know the hight and place of the turn signal you dont hit it accidentally anymore.. the turn signal is lower than normal..

The cruise control lever & turn / signal lever are being swop around aswell for 2013 models. Dealer told me it was due to feedback / complaints from the US market.

If you have an order in you will get it in July. The flyer released says July release date.

But more importantly, my relative works for MB dealer... My car is being built 1st week of June (this is the earliest of the 2013s being built)... and the car will take approx 4-6 weeks to get to my dealer in NJ)

2012 C350 Coupe
Not a fan of Sport Package on C350. Mostly cosmetic and seems to cheapen the look. Red stitching too garrish. Guess this is MB's response to 2013 335i sport pkg.

Go full leather and give passenger powered seats.

I saw the 'newsletter' you've cited last week, and it's funny but most of the prices shes quoted are higher than what was provided to all dealers via the MY 13 C-Class Coupe Dealer Ordering Guide - Product Management. This particular option lists for $1400, not the $1530 shes quoted. Also, as shown on slide 20 of the guide, there is an additional $250 charge as this is an listed as an SPC option.

The trunk spoiler that comes with the sport package is an "AMG rear spoiler in vehicle color" (slide 4). However, there still is a Rear Trunk Lid Spoiler listed as a VPC Accessory (Slide 19) for $300 -- code is 104. The Roof Spoiler is also a $300 option, but requires the trunk spoiler.

My thought is that there may be some architectural/plumbing/? inconsistencies between the 4Matic and the non-4Matic variants to allow the DHP to be included. Best place to find out is via your local dealer, as all now have the capability to build MY 13 Coupes, and if it is not allowed, a box will appear on the screen informing which codes are not allowed when creating a build and opting for any given option/package.

Thank you for the reply.

If the DHP is avail for 4matic it would infact cost $1650 (1400 + 250 SPC)

Is the AMG rear spoiler, different than the (104 $300 option)?

Also in 2012 ALL C350s came with the trunk spoiler.. so that is why I was confused.

Unfortunately the Ordering Guide doesn't show any pictures of the trunk spoilers, but I would assume there is some cosmetic difference between the two. The disclaimer for the addit $250 for the SPC options (all three of them) applies to the Obsidian Black Metallic Paint, the DHP, and the In-Dash 6-Disc CD Changer ... a $480 stand along option (making this option $730?) which presumably only applies to purchasers of the C250 who don't get the $1995 P01 Package.

Some info from a follow up email for that benzblogger post

Thanks for reading!

1 - The sports package specifies a "AMG spoiler" for the C350 coupe.
Perhaps there are 2 spoilers? I have looked through the available
pictures for the 2013 C350 coupe, and most of them do not have a
spoiler. That leads me to believe that it is not standard on the 2013.

2 - The dynamic handling package is not available on the ordering screen
for the C350 coupe 4matic. The preliminary paperwork does not specify
that it is only for the RWD, but it is! No dynamic handling..only 4 wheel
drive.

No dynamic handling on the 4matic. Not sure about the spoiler, but with the stupid decisions MB has been making with the 4matic coupe i wouldn't be surprised. It's like they want me to get a 2013 Audi S5 instead.

Trying to wrap my head around this comparison. Never considered the S5 as a direct competitor to the C350C4. Starting at $55,100 for the Premium Plus trim (4.2 fsi with 6-speed triptronic ... won't even save a build with a manual tranny which would save $1,200, nor does it allow for the Prestige package build which would be another $6,300) and adding Sports rear differential, Audi MMI® navigation plus, Bang & Olufsen® Sound System, 19” 5-segment-spoke-design alloy wheels with 255/35 summer tires and Audi advanced key brings you to $61,150 ... and I believe there is a gas guzzlers tax on top of this. Not quite apples and watermelons, but a lot closer to apples and oranges then it is to Washington's and Red Delicioius, no?

Good call, there is about a 10,000$ or so premium for the S5 in Canada. 2013 model price is dropping by 5000 since it is switching to 3.0 supercharged V6 and dual clutch trans. A fully loaded C3504matic here is around 59,000 while similarly loaded S5 is 68500. S5 gets a better engine, trans, and a few more toys but I have never seen the new facelift in person so questionable. Also, C350 will definitely have a better finance rate and is open to more price negotiation.

C350 is definitely winning in terms of being a budget minded option (it has a few toys that S5 doesn't have like front parking aid and folding side mirrors), but I am keeping my options open for now since I don't want to be sad over 10,000 later on since I would keep the car for at least 4 years.

I havent really seen any mention of mbrace2 being standard on the MY '13, i think this is a huge benefit! The new mbrace2 is pretty sick! $14/mo for 3g web in my car, sign me up! Now, if i can only find out a way to disable these "only while in park" schennanigans.

While i was at training for the new SL, they mentioned it is standard in all the MY13 cars. Am i the only one excited about this?

must be a generational thing. wasn't excited about it when it was an option ... making it standard won't change anything.
