Update on the MY2013 coupe inside
- Eco start/stop (does this provide a better fuel economy)
- changed cruise control/turn signal position to make it more user friendly
- new media colours (the black/silver one... looks more modern IMO but might clash a bit with the tan interior, will need to be seen in person)
- availability of the sport pack on both C250 and C350
- some new colours. One is Polar White. Anybody got pics?
- turn signal is a long, horizontal, yellow led on the bottom of the headlight. Is it the same now?
They also had a white fully loaded C63 Black edition. Looks great, although a tad too busy. Too expensive also.

the cruise control stalk is huge! it's definitely in the wrong place. kudos to MB on fixing that.
polar white sounds good and the sport pack as well.
turn signal sounds the same.
The Eco start stop is very much like BMW's efficient dynamic's auto start stop technology. It will most likely increase fuel economy within the city, but I can't imagine the strain it places on the car's batts on a stop-and-go traffic scenario (ie. traffic jam) though :S
Not sure what media colours mean, but if DinB was talking about the colour theme in the media interface (LCD screen), the theme is beige w/ black for the 2012.
The turn signal sounds the same as the 2012 model

Is this the feature which will stop the engine in red light? I thought this was removed in North America release because of the fuel requirement.
Will there be any other changes besides this Eco start/stop? I was expecting some minor changes to improve the new DI engines.
Furthermore, the 2012 4matic coupes just started to arrive on lots which wouldn't make sense for 2013's to show up in a short two months from now...
Can anyone else in the US confirm this information?

I have the PDF file with the C250/C350 options. I attached it to this reply.
Also, it appears that, at least in Canada, polar white is replacing calcite (arctic) white and not diamond white like I thought.

The only thing I can see against it at the moment is if you have a C63 variant, the larger paddle shifters obstruct a clear view path to the stalk so you may have to move your line of sight to set/adjust it, I could be in this situation as I'm looking at installing a C63 steering wheel I have onto my C250-CDI.
On the subject of paddle shifters, did anyone else also notice from the pics of the above link, the standard smaller paddle shifters are now finished in silver as opposed to black making them much more visible and also nicer to look at similar to those of the C63

I do remember being told by a spokes person at my AMG open day that Mercedes have always had the cruise control like that as well as the handbrake/footbrake arrangement and will never change it ?? but they've changed the arrangement of the gear lever in other models, so maybe those other 2 items will also change in time

As for the black/silver media colours that seems to be the display colours, at the moment it's black/gold or beige colour, just from looking at those pics again, IMHO I prefer the way it is now, ie. black/gold

Also the grill fins have black colour added in place of silver grey, again I prefer the way it is at the moment, but some may prefer that area blacked out, I've seen a few people black out that area.
Overall these added options do make for more choice to people ordering one now, the more choice the better

Well, after 1 min of driving the car I found the cruise control and turn stalks confusing. Its been some time, but I think that I kept reaching for the cruise control instead of the turn signal. My hand naturally move to where I expected the turn signal to be and it felt awkward. First time ever on a test drive, so I am sure that I am not the only one who complained. Must have been enough of an interest to cause MB to change it.
Where is this black colour on the fins that you are seeing?
