Ya know ... I vaguely remember hearing something about the engine change coming down the road, but it was buried in my memory somewhere. Just spent the past hour researching/reviewing the Internet info available on the S5 ... and now I'm forced to consider this as an option. Pricewise, it still looks like it's going to be pricier than the C350C4 ... and almost what I've priced an E350C4 for. Biggest problem for me is ... one of my very favorite cars I've ever owned was my 1986 Audi Coupe Quattro ... U.K spec which I put 68K miles on it during the 3 years I drove it while living on the USS U.K..

I noted this when I first posted the brochure but I was not sure if it was a typo since Canada had the old teleaid. That was a 1200+ option so I never paid attention. Mbrace sounds better.

A5 is almost the same price and performance wise. The only real thing I don't like on the A5 is that it has exhaust on only one side of the car like a Honda Civic. Cabriole has one pipe on each side but coupe doesn't. It's a simple mod but still. Also north American A5 family cars don't have power folding mirrors like C350.

^ true regarding the performance aspect ... but I have a serious problem ponying up $40-$50K for a 4-banger ... turbo or not. Drove an A5 when they offered the 3.2 w/stick a few years ago, and was really disappointed with the long clutch travel ... same thing BMW did starting with the E39 coupes. Although I hate the idea of an auto (paddle shift or not), since this is the only option on U.S. MB's, no reason not to consider it in the S5 ... even though they will be offering a six-speed for twin-turbo V6. Besides ... I'll still have my vette for fun!
