PlastiDip/Vinyl Wrap Question
So I have the C250 coupe...Diamond White. I want to take the lower part of my front bumper, under the lower grill and make it matte black. I love the look it gives the front of the car.
My question is should I wrap it or have it painted? Also, what is this PlastDip I keep seeing people comment about?
Has anyone used the PlatDip, Vinyl Wrap, or paint for their front bumper? Any insight would be much appreciated.
Thanks!

I as well as a few others for sure have used the plastidip. It's basically a spray on rubber/plastic that can be peeled right off if you mess up or dont like it any more. You can buy it at Home Depot or Lowes. Cheapest option for sure...

we had a customer come in and Plasti-Dip his vehicle, It is much cheaper than vinyl wrapping your car and yes it can come off easily, but you have to prep the car. I would recommend looking up Dipmycar, they have videos on how to plasti dip your car

Once I put on the spoiler, paint the side markers, paint the grill, and paint the bumper...i will post some updated pictures.

I vinyl wrapped my lower lip which was great since it's a smooth finish and provides extra protection in a very chip prone area. It cost me about $150 and was well worth it. I plastidipped the grille and it looks good, but I may just by the sport package version.

nice I am going to do it this weekend. What color is the matte black? I don't want glossy but on the dipyourcar website I only saw you can buy regular black. Is that the matte black color?

I just stumbled onto this debate. As such I am curious what you think about whichever process you picked and how it appears after a year plus of use? Thanks.

So I just had a recent experience with trying to remove my plastidip and it did not go well. I was getting the vinyl wrap on my lower lip redone and decided to have my spoiler done, too because the plastidip wasn't holding up as well as I'd like. I had to remove the plastidip first (had been on for a year or so) and it would not peel off. I basically had to scrape and soak the wrap in alcohol before it would come off and be clean enough to wrap. Just saying this as an fyi to all of you who want to do large plastidip jobs. I know it's cheap and easier but you get what you pay for and I think vinyl is just the better way to go.
