A question re: Wheel size and offset for the Coupe
I've tried the search engine, but haven't had success in finding exactly what I was looking for.
I'm going to be hunting for a winter tire and wheel package. MB offers one, but it's not exactly inexpensive at a little over 3 grand
and I'd like to consider options before pulling the trigger. I've got a 2013 C350 Coupe 4Matic with the sports package. I understand that in 2012, the MB offered winter wheel and tire package was 17", 112/5 bolts, 17 x 7.5" rims, with a 47mm offset all around. Can someone confirm that?
I'll probably be adding either the Blizzak LM 60's, or Conti extreme winters, in 225/45/17 size.
On the wheel size, I understand that the offset can really affect the handling and balance of the car. Can anyone give me some advice as to what range I stick to with a 17" size all around?
What I'm most concerned about is that I develop some sort of balance issue if I go with the wrong rims, so I really appreciate any advice you can offer. I've been considering just springing for MB OEM package, since I know they will fit correctly, but I thought I'd ask here first.
Thanks!
JP
