C250 Lease question
No cash down ( I am trading and I am comfortable with the equity in may car for the down payment).
C250 Coupe - list price 46,940
lease payment $450.00
42 months
option for buy out at that time $23,120
( I see that there are better monthly lease prices out there but I am guessing those are more base models).
They started with 3k down and $605 a month.
So $450.00 for a car worth over $5,000 more and $0 down seems a little too good to be true.. what is the value of your trade in?

How I would approach this (an have before ALWAYS):
Build the car you want on mbusa get the MSRP
Build the car you want on edmunds or trucar for INVOICE
Get Residuals and Money Factors from ridewithg
Make adjustments on residuals and money factors based on your desired miles per year and perhaps guess on your credit worthiness
Plug all the numbers into an excel spreadsheet where you can adjust for state taxes, positive (or negative) equity on trades and other cap cost reductions like deposits, down payments, incentives etc.
Once THIS is all done, then you have a leg to stand on when you walk in to a dealership. Throw 'em a bone start with $500 over invoice and go from there.
At the dealer:
Ask to see allllll the numbers that they are using. You can see then where they are marking you up and you can call them on it with fact based research
Don't put any cash down
Seriously don't put any cash down
Don't be afraid to walk away or go to another dealer competition is your greatest ally
