Talking Having Trouble Putting Gas in

Hi guys,

I have a 2013 C250 that I got about 3 months ago. I'm having trouble putting gas in without it constantly stopping. This happened recently as I don't recall it having a problem before. Basically, I would press in on the gas pump, and a few seconds later, it would click and stop. I've tried putting the gas pump in different depth and direction, but it doesn't seem to help.

Does anyone know how to solve this issue?

My 2013 does the same thing sometimes. I think the reason for this is either some gas stations don't have the newer pumps with a more tighter seal which causes like a "fuel vapor leak" so the car just stops pumping. Some safety thing I've read. Anyways....to solve this issue, simply just put the pump in but push it all the way in and down a little so it's at like a 90 degree angle.

Happened to me about 5 times since I've had my car for about a year. Annoying as hell. Not sure what the cause is.

My 2013 C250 does this also. Funny thing is that my old 350z has the same problem, but much worse so I was like shocked when the c250 did it (made me feel like I had some sort of bad luck).

What I end up doing is I don't squeeze the lever all the way to the second latch. I'll let it gas at the first latch, so it is a bit slower and it works fine. I hope that makes sense!

Push firmly in, then firmly down towards ground. Seems to work for me.

I had the same problem and mine is also about 3 mints old. I was just about to ask about this but I went to a different gas station and it went fine. It's really weird and really frustrating.

also happened to me, annoying, should do a recall on this. Maybe we can start one and have Mercedes engineers work on this problem.

Might be C250 issue

My C350 with 12k on it has never experienced this issue. Ask your dealer to check the technical bulletins for the c250.

Tried the method of shoving it in deep and pulling down. Did the trick although it sounded like it was about to spill haha
