flooded ignition coil packs
I have been a professional detailer for over 25 years. I was gently cleaning (not high pressure or steam) the engine bay of a 2003 C230 compressor coupe and water some how got down into the ignition coil packs and ruined them and thus needing replacement. Is this a common problem, or design flaw or just bad luck? I have never seen or heard of this happening before. any insight to this would be greatly appreciated. the boss says I have to pay for the coil packs and that I should have known better. I have high pressure cleaned hundreds of MB engines and not 1 problem before, this was the 1st C230 compressor engine I've worked on. thanks for any help on this.
