DLR LED without main lights?
I couldn't find a real answer in any other thread.
Thanks!
You can't once the auto headlights kick in, the dimming function when that happens is one of the DRL functions.
There are 2 ways of switching the DRL's off although that will not help out with what you want.
What I sometimes do if the headlights have come on when I don't want them to is switch over to the C parking lights instead

There have been other threads discussing the topic if anyone knows how to get more functionality out of the headlights and DRL's to have various combinations on and/or off but AFAIK it hasn't resulted in anything useful - yet...
Also just a note - DRL = Daytime Running Lights

I will ask next time I go to my local dealership.

But I think what brennanx1 wants is the DRL's to remain on without the headlights coming on when it starts getting overcast/darker.
I agree with that one as my auto headlights also activate while it's still very visible daylight or way too early, would prefer the DRL's to stay on whilst it's still noticeable daylight before the headlights take over.

Here in Australia they do that with pretty much any brand of car you buy and some even make you sign off on it as well that you have been instructed on all the operational aspects of the vehicle your purchasing, they'll even set up the phone connectivity and other operational features like the many you get with our MB vehicles

If not you'll eventually come to grips with the operation of all the light functions over time anyway, it's not that complicated I'd start by reading through your user manual and trying out all the features and settings of the headlights as described in that manual.
The DRL's ('Daylight Running Lights') are not meant to be fog lights and actually switch off automatically if you engage the rear fog light.
They are designed to make you more visible to other road users during clear daytime for added safety.
You can choose to turn them off in the settings menu displayed in the centre dash dial, (check the users manual) otherwise with the rotary light switch in the centre position they'll be on all the time whilst your vehicle is running.
IMHO it's actually a good thing you have the intelligent lighting system package it offers other great features like active cornering, park assist lighting and bi-xenon HID
