Car will not be driven for 25 days
I'm going to Germany and other parts of Europe for 25 days and my car will just be sitting in my garage. Is there anything I need to do to prep it for "storage"? The longest i've gone before is 10 days and there was smoke coming out of the exhaust when I started it up. Is there any specific way of getting the engine warmed up once I get back?
Thank you
Thank you

I've let my car sit for 30 days without doing anything to it and it was fine. Was it the right thing? Maybe, maybe not but I didn't run into any problems. My only recommendation would be leave a full tank of gas and just make sure its secure.

Was there quite a bit of smoke when you turned it on? I have my Service B in 1100 miles, I thought it was at 25,000 miles but my car is telling me 20,000, so I will have that done when I get back to make sure I haven't broken the car haha

Honestly, I didn't even notice if there was. These cars are so monitored that if there's something wrong they'll catch it during the service. If it's really bad, it'll let you know now. One month isn't bad, anything longer then I'd say you'd have to do something.

Storage for 30 days are you kidding? I had mine stored for 12 months, drove it once a year for 4 years. Tires were good, gas treated, kept it covered and was stored in uncontrolled climate facility. I forgot to disconnect the battery one time and came back the battery was dead. After that I always disconnected the battery. 30 days, everything should( will ) be fine. To put things in perspective as to how long it was in storage, I bought it brand new (2005 C230 kompressor) and today it has 21,537 miles on it. Just changed the original tires on it last year. Completely stock with exception of K&N filter. Looks and runs like new.
