I regret not doing the European Delivery Program like I first intended. The pics look great. If everything goes well, the girlfriend and I are planning EDP for her CLA in the springtime next year

I think this is only way that I will ever buy a car again! I am planning my next trip now. My Lease is up in 3 years and I just plan to go back.. Gas is expensive! $95 to 110 for half a tank, but that was the only downside.

Is this program really worth it? What was the price of the car and with what options. Also cost for shipping and all other fees? If this ends being a cost effective trip I'l do it with my 2014 Boxster s before I purchase it in the states.

Mercedes does pay for Lunch w/wine, all the tours, a free night at 5 star hotel, Destination, and 7% MSRP. It really depends on you... I could have gotten a car for cheaper because it was on the car lot, but none of them had all the features that I wanted so I decided to order my car, and so then the ED just made sense for me. It really is not about the savings... It is about the trip. It really depends on how much you value driving in your own car, at 100 mph+, on pristine roads, with some the best drivers in the world then going to beautiful locations. If you are looking for the best saving and do not really care about the color and options go with the dealers..

Its true that if you want your car to your specs, the EDP is great. However, you can still order a car to your specs through your dealer, without the 7 percent savings.

For example, I ordered my car in May 2012 (the first day for ordering the MY2013 coupe in the US) and got it delivered on October 31st, 2012.

So if I'm hearing you correctly you leased your ED? If so do you feel that you got a good price on the lease?

Congrats - looks fantastic same colour combination as mine

Doing the ED sounds like a great experience and certainly would be worth the expense IMHO, I would've loved to have done it but it's not offered by MB in my Country unfortunately.

Congrats! Px alone are worth it.

I've been dreaming about doing a ED for a while. We have been planning a trip to Germany fall of 2014 for some time. My wifes 2008 will be in need of replacement and I thought that would be the perfect addition to the trip. (Haven't told her yet!)

Now I'm hearing the W205 will be made in USA? So getting a Germany made C300 ED in fall of 2014 is probably not going to happen??

I heard the same rumor... I guess we will find out in January. (C205) Here is my $0.02 . I had a tour of the Mercedes Benz Factory and was told that it takes them 18 to 23 months to setup a new car factory, so you might be able to have your trip.

I'm from Australia, it's not a case of not allowed but simply not offered or not an option to have ED here with MB.

I'm not entirely certain but I think BMW here do offer the option of ED, so if I ever opt to buy a Beemer in future I may do it then
