maintenance 2012 c350 coupe

My 2012 c350 coupe service reminder tells that I have to do the 2 year maintenance, mine only logged 9700 miles, do I really have to change the brake fluid now too ? If I don't, would it affect my warranty if any brake problems happen later ?

Brake fluid is usually changed on bi-annual intervals and isn't determined by mileage.
BTW- How can you have such a great car and only have 9700 miles in 2 yrs? You need to drive that thing.

I'd do the brake fluid change. Changing brake fluid is based on time, not distance.

Do it.

Braking systems aren't indestructible. Parts, like the rubber in the valves in the master cylinder, calipers and wheel cylinders deteriorate. All the nasty little bits that flake off end up in your brake fluid. Plus, the fluid itself can get old and worn out. Moisture can also get in the system. That leads to rust, which leads to more nasty bits in your brake fluid. All this adds up to a brake system with compromised effectiveness and decreased stopping power.

+1 on the brake fluid change. In order to show proper maintenance ALL maintenance items should be performed by a dealer or by yourself, keeping all receipts showing parts used and date/mileage it was performed.

IMHO do all that is required/recommended for your B service whether you DIY or let the dealer or other service shop carry out the service.

That way you will maintain intact warranty during your warranty period and intact full service history record when you eventually sell the car, I'm sure that any prospective future buyer of a s/h or used MB will want to have a vehicle that's been fully maintained/serviced.

Mine is also up for its B service next month and will be carried out by a MB workshop and will make sure that all listed service items in the manual are covered regardless of odometer reading which is currently at 34,000km (21,125 miles).
