Thanks. So it is actually a matte black. Europe only?

That reminded me how much I hate American car reviews...

If you get a single scratch on a panel, the panel CANNOT be painted....it MUST BE REPLACED....SO BE HAPPY!

Not only scratches everytime it's washed you have to be careful not to create shiny patches on the surface which means waxing/polishing is a no no on these matt finishes.

Personally I'm not a fan of these matt colours either makes the car look like they forgot to paint it and let it go out in undercoat

Compare to the "satin" finish on some Gibson guitars. At least in that case it is cheaper.

Not only that, I hear any bug splats or bird droppings have to be cleaned immediately.

Yeah, but next year you can buy the laser-guided FlaK to defend against the birds, in the Advanced Paint Defense package for a mere $4299. Requires premium package. And awd for ... reasons.

Nice to see another Gibson guitar fan here... Been playing an SG for around 15 years!

To be honest, if you really want the matte look, get a vinyl wrap. It's about the same cost, much more durable, 100% reversible and actually protects the original paint.

Definitely the way to go for anyone wanting the matt paint finish look, I'm guessing would also be available in a lot more colours than what's available from the OEM matt colours

This colour was available in edition in NA on first release. They also had the matte grey for the c63.
As others have said, just a pain to maintain.
