C250 AMG Coupe
C250 upgrades

Hi all I've just purchased a C250 amg coupe which I'm hopefully collecting tomorrow. Just wondering what are the best modifications to do on the car?

I'm planning to wrap the front splitter, mirrors and roof in black. But would appreciate your input on what else to do

Cheers

Freddie

Congrats on the new car!
What type of mods are you looking for?
Exterior? Interior? Performance?
If you want one of the few performance mods for the C250- I have the Burger Motor Sports JB+ Tuner and Intake for sale. It is an Adjustable unit and Intake W/K&N Filter and makes the car more aggressive and responsive.

What exactly is a C250 "AMG" coupe? The only real AMG in this class is the C63. I have the AMG package on my C250, it doesn't make it a C250 AMG... Just sayin...

Is the AMG package the same as the Sports package?

No just a cosmetic package with AMG badged wheels, a spoiler and I think slightly different side skirts.

I've never heard of the AMG package. But I have the AMG wheels and spoiler as a add on.

2014 C250 sports coupe
If your car is coupe sports plus you get a bit more AMGish suspension tuning and bit different transmission mapping with downshift rev matching throttle blips and stuff but it still is a C250.

If it is the AMG Sport PLUS Package it includes:
AMG sport suspension, speed-sensitive sport steering, larger sport brakes, a sport exhaust system, and a sport shift mode.

Mercedes C250 Coupe
The C250 coupe really appeals to this sailor. After an online search, a visit to our local M-B dealership(s), comparing the three shades of Silver in bright sunlight - - - - a test drive left me enchanted: I felt as if I were driving in an ad ..............and at 2/3 MSRP with first two payments comped (plus first two 10,000 service apps's).........I signed the copious paper and put this jewel alongside my other Teutonic car.

2012 C250
I've had my 2012 C250 Sport sedan for about a year now, absolutely love the car for daily driving and it does everything I'd want it to do as well. But I'm very fortunate and thankful to have found this post because I've been in the market to find Tunes/Mods/Kits for her.

I understand partially that the car shouldn't be tampered with extremely and that asking for 270-300 hp is probably not wise, but from a curious point of view- why the hell not lol?

For mostly every other brand of cars to the EVO, or the S2000's or most other cars with 1.8-2.0 L inline fours... I've noticed that there's a hell of a lot of options for upgrades. Again, I understand that these examples may be on completely different platforms, but from a mechanical perspective, I'd like to know why perhaps boring the W204's engine block from a 1.8L to a 2.0L can't be done. Or why there's not many turbo replacements available, sub-tuning for the ECU etc.

Any comments or ideas you'd like to share about potential upgrades please add to this post, I have a feeling this might get me somewhere- honestly idk why I see great potential with this car but I come from a background of fixing mediocre cars into something phenomenal. My first car shouldn't be an exception.

Thanks Again Guys!

BrianE Did you get a chance to install the TMC ecu and if so what are your thoughts so far?

Purchased a 2014 C250 Coupe a month ago and am interested in getting a bit more hp out of it. Thanks.

I have had the TMC ecu piggyback on for a week now and I haven't had any issues with it. I've noticed a stronger pull and it seems to be more responsive. There have been no CEL tripped as well as no limp mode. My gas mileage hasn't noticeably changed, but that's mostly cause I've been pretty heavy footed. The TMC website claims an extra 52 hp and around 60 ft/tq. It was a very easy install and it only took me about 30 minutes to install. So far so good.

I'm really glad that you showed us the site- thanks very much

But I'm kinda sketchy when it comes to getting car parts from the UK, typically I know that there versions of spec engines are diesel instead of petrol and I'm not too sure if that's an issue. I'll call to see what they say but are you sure they're legit? As a whole you had no issues ordering or installing their products?

No problem. I figured others would want an alternative to the Berger tune that trips the CEL for overboost and causes the car to go into limp mode. I have had absolutely no issues with the TMC tune and I just did a round trip from Raleigh to Baltimore. As far as I can tell they are the real thing and I had no issues ordering or installing. Installation took about 45 minutes with simple tools (flat head screwdriver and torx wrench).
