2012 c coupe driver power seat adjustment question

Hi guys,

I just brought my 2012 mercedes c coupe used, and I noticed that I can't get the driver seat to incline past the seat belt pillar..., but my passenger side able to incline all the way. Is this normal for the c coupe or it is my motor is faulty? All other adjustment works tho

Hi Moegunz, are you saying that my driver seat should tilt all the way forward to folding position? Cause mine stop tilting halfway by the seat belt pillar? thanks

If you are using the buttons on the door to incline then I believe it stops at the pillar. However, if you pull the silver leverage on the seat, it will incline forward, almost touching the steering wheel. Hope that helps.

So the seat tilting should stop at the pillar using the bottons on door? Is this just for mercedes coupe? cause on my bmw it goes all the way past pillar when I tilt the seat forward, thanks.

It may just be with Mercedes. I had a 335 coupe before, but never really paid attention to the tilt because I used the leverage mostly. Could be a safety thing perhaps?

Buttons == pillar...

... Lever == all the way forward to folding for accessing the backseat.

Think of it like this; you would use the buttons while sitting in the seat, and you don't really want to have your face all that closer to the airbag if it decides to deploy. So there's no need for the buttons to fold the seat forward past vertical (aka the pillar).

Makes sense?
