Run in with a pot hole MY19 C300 coupe
So mad. Construction on highway caused me (and several other vehicles) flat tires. Run flat allowed me to keep driving but of course tire was out of stock at tire shop. Thankfully I purchased road hazard coverage at tire shop right after I bought car so new tire won't cost me anything. But concerned about my rim. This is a 4 month old 2019 c coupe. Devastated about my rim. Car is now parked waiting for tire to come in to replace. Continental doesn't offer road hazard coverage on new tires from what I could read in tire warranty docs. Any idea if I can drive on run flat after it has been parked to go back to tire shop? Tire shop is about 3 miles up the road. Drove about 8 miles from impact point to home after initial flat. Also not sure if rim can be fixed or if I will have to replace it totally.
Tire damage, rim bent.
Another view of rim and tire damage.
Another view of tire
impact.

Not what you want to hear/read but if your roads are that bad the tyre and rim coverage from MB would have been better.
Looks like you're going to need a new rim and MB rims don't come cheap. Not sure what you normal car insurance has to
say about this but give them a call ans see what they say...

Unless your rims are cracked, most bends can be fixed. Look up a few wheel repair shops in your area. A Lot cheaper than replacing the wheel.

If I'm not mistaken the coverage was around $2500 with a $50 deductible each time. With a new rim costing $1100 that might be worth it. Hesitant to file a claim on my insurance because of the potential for increased cost. Sigh...

Most repairs are in the $175-$200 range. Good luck

This is exactly what I fear with my beautiful 19" AMG multispokes. Please keep us posted on the resolution and associated costs!

Update: Got a new tire put on. No issue with bent rim and new tire. Tire held pressure. Took car to Mercedes and they said they could repair bend in rim for $189. So left car for repair. Am told it has been repaired. Will pick up tomorrow and post pics here. Happy it was able to be repaired for a fraction of the cost. Quote for new 19" rim was $1018 from Mercedes. Can't wait to see it.
