Volvo V90 CC
Volvos are nice cars, but they are front wheel drive , bimmer will be rear wheel drive, if she doesn't mind FWD the the S80 would be a better choice IMO

People in Ithaca love their Volvos...they're everywhere. I know the "mommy car" stereotype of Volvos, but I think they're more a sensible (intellectual?) purchase. They're not flashy, they've got character, and they're practical (hence the boxy shape). Wait, now I see the stereotype...haha. The same goes with Saabs. But everywhere else (i.e. on campus), everyone seems to have a Beemer. The 5-Series is a great car, though a new one is coming out for 2004. And judging by the looks of the 7-Series and the new Z4, I would go for the Volvo...
But why not a new C or E? Maybe a Jag?

Haha...that's exactly why my mom just got a 2003 S-Type 3.0...like she cares about anything more than the way it looks. To be honest, I really like driving that car. Everything it does is incredibly smooth (even with the Duratec-derived engine block), and it handles really well around turns. Plus the 6-speed auto is completely transparent. But I hate the way I feel driving that car...it's my parents' car, and I'm no where near as old as I should be when driving around in a Jag. Though I like being driven in it...
But it's a damn nice car though, and my mom really likes it (again, mostly with the way it looks), but she already said her next car will by another Benz. At least my mom has that straight...
I'm surprised this thread hasn't been moved yet...

Hey,
Yep, my C220 was a hand me down too (thanks mom and dad). I'm too attached to my car to ever give it up. It may seem boring compared to the other cars here...no mods, but I like it that way.

Haha...I've got a 6-disk Alpine changer...at least the radio was prewired. I actually want to add a sub...not to blow out the windows, just to make some nice bass. Oh yeah, I've got a grey interior.
And I need a better shot of the my car...that pic is in front of Terminal C of Newark Airport...my friend's flight was delayed by 6 hours, so I was bored. Newark is not the best backdrop for anything...except The Sopranos.
