MERCEDES WINDSHIELD and STICKER!

I am wondering if anyone knows how much winshields cost for 1998 C230 and where I would be able to get them?

I am also looking for a Mercedes Benz windshield sticker that has "A MERCEDES-BENZ PRODUCT" and a signature on it. Where would I be able to find it?

Thank you in advance for your help.

Ebay periodically will have them. Be they authentic or fake doesn't matter to
some folks...and the price is usually less than $10

There was a long thread about this on one of the forums. Some people were able to call MB directly and get a replacement mailed for free. Others went to Ebay. Others went to the dealer. If you want a specific wording, Ebay is probably the best. People got various versions from MB and the dealer.

I called a local Mercedes Benz dealership and their price was around $650.00 to replace the windshield. I called this other business that does all kind of windshields and the guy said his price is around $250.00. What do you guys think? Who should I choose?

Well honestly, every time I have ever had a windshield done by an outside party the result was pure crap. Not only was the windshield quality garbage but the installation was messy (sealant squished all over the place) and parts were not put back together properly, even some trim pieces were damaged from removal.

If you want a quality job done with someone who knows what they are doing then I would suggest MB. At least they will back up their work.

I agree, bit most $tealerships don't do the work....they outsource it to another glass company and mark it up.

I'm new to this forum & mercedes as well. Can anyone tell me what's special about the sticker? Because I was close to scraping it off until I ran across this thread.

Nothing wrong with 'other' than OEM - some on the 'bay' if you MUST have it...The sticker does have a P/N as well

really...that's it? So the lines & overall design of our cars as well as the badges aren't enough for some?
Cool thanks Raymond for the info

just to chime in a large percentage of dealers do there own glass work... i see some of the crappy work other glass places pass off...its terriable. Most of those places charge a flat 25-50 dollars to put in any windsheild so if its a mercedes or a geo they dont care. All they are worried about is speed not quality..... just a note on the 09 mercedes just came out with a new windshield sticker which looks beter, i think.
