Custom Intake PHOTOS
hey i was thinking of doing a custom intake for my 202, keeping the cone inside the engine bay like short ram. i searched this forum, not many pics, does anyone have any pics of their intake to post? also, i checked the stock grille on 202 and on the upper left part the grille holes are blocked by plastic on other side. should i remove this plastic? it seems to hinder airflow into the hole right behind it which enters airbox. also should i place my cone in the bottom part of OEM airbox, or remove airbox, but then how do i funnel the air from the grille pipe into the cone filter? many questions because im tryin to think of a way to get all that cold air into the cone filter. any tips? thankss

Its been my understanding that a custom intake for this car really isnt worth the effort. Get a highflow air filter. Chip it. Get a pulley kit.
Whats your overall goal of the new intake?

yes it does sound meaner. yes "we" all have stock box. Not all all but most.
Get a "green filter", appernelty ive been educated to know that the K&N has a high chance to screw up the MAF.
Get a nice exhaust.
Call it a day.
If you want speed, get a chip, a pulley set, and use 93 octane.
I wouldnt waste your time with a custom box. If you think of some way to make a heat shield, and find another way to run colder air into the box, and find a way to filter out water. Make a good write up for it.
How the heck do you log in?

An Affordable Chip?
ive looked on ebay but cant find many that are reliable, what exactly does a chip do? it says in the add above that the powerchip adds 18hp to C230, how is that possible????? i mean what exactly does a tint chip do, and is it easy to install? will it **** up the ECU? also are there any cheap ones that work? any no-name brands that work just fine?

be carefull about the elss exspesive chips. When your playing with ECU you dont always want cheap. I wouldnt do any chip that isnt sponsering this board. At least those chips are good names and good companies.
Go to one of the powerchip sites and just read what they do. Some sites have video's and what not. google it.
