Putting car on jack stands

I have a 1995 c280 and i wanted to put it on jack stands and didnt know where the jack stands would go in the front of the car. If i use a floor jack and use the rubber circle jack place to lift my car, where would i put the jack stands?

Is there another place in the front where i can safely place the floor jack so my car can get lifted?

Thanks in advance.

i know about that, thats where i put my jack stands, but where do i put my jack so I can raise the car. I have to raise it before i put the jack stands, if i put the jack on the rubber round thing i wont have a place to put my jack stands.

The car can be safely lifted by placing the floor jack at the lower control arm/chassis joint

i thought if i placed it under the lower control arm, the arms would eventually break. is it possible for them to break?

Those control arms in the front are pretty daRN strong. If anything you'd need bushings before you'd EVER need arms. The bushings and front lower ball joints are the only two things that really go bad in the front suspension. Unless you crash into something with your front control arms... I don't see them ever breaking. Oh yeah, sometimes the front spring upper perch will rust and break or the spring could crack. Those only usually happen in areas where cars have lots of rust (near oceans or areas that use salt on the roads in the winter).

But anyway, just lift it from under the ball joint at the bottom of the spindle. You'll be fine.

Getting a jack under the LCA spindle would be tricky with a tire in place and you'll have to deal with the movement of the suspension. Better to use the opposite end of the LCA, where it attaches to the chassis. That particular mounting point is reinforced and highly unlikely to be stressed by being used as a jack point.

Is there a pumpkin on a benz? Big round thing in the middle of the rear axle. When we put a lift on my friends jeep we just lifted it there. It only takes one jack because it lifts the whole rear. wont rock back and forth because of the front tires. Put brick/cinder block/ something to stop the front tires from rolling forward or back. Do it on a flat service.

At the front place a 2 x 4 on the jack pad and place the jack under the front crossmember (it is just aft of the plastic tray). At the rear place the jack under the differential.

The Jeep has a solid rear axle. I'd be careful in using the diff of a Mercedes as a jacking point in the rear, since it's attachment to the chassis is via the subframe and flex disk on the driveshaft. This is especially true since using the diff as the lift point means that you're balancing the rear end of the car at the chassis midline. Not overly stable.

M-B specifically states in their service literature that it is permissable to use the differential when lifting the rear.
