Widest wheel/rim possible up front? Anybody know?

I've been doing some searching (to the best of my ability) and was wondering if anybody really knows the answer on plus sizing wheels for our vehicles. I understand how plus sizing works and what factors come in to play such as offsets and rim widths.
Does anybody on the board know whether or not 19x9 wheels with 38mm offset in front fit a '95 on stock height? Seems like everybody runs ??x8.5 up front. I've seen a lot of members mention 35mm offsets are most you can go. I don't know how true that is, but my local dealership as well as some tire shops say 38mm/40mm is it.
Thanks in advance for any input you guys may have. I'm just a little down that I passed on some sweet wheels because I wasn't sure if I could go any wider than 8.5 in the front.

regarding your query....hmmm

the greater the offset, the further in the wheel will sit. so that will make the 8.5j, 35 offset the ideal. i have a 19", 8.5j, 37 offset wheel on mine. it just about clears on the inside. so a 9j in the front would fit if the height is left standard, but it would look like a truck.the rear would be fine. hope this helps.

I slapped 19s on my W202 C220.

Rim specs are 9.5 x 19. Offset is ET35. Tires used: 235 35 R19

oh yeah by the way i'm running
225/35/19 front
255/30/19 rear

do you think a 35 series in the rear would make any difference? Just like my taste in girls, I would like a lil more cushion in the rear.

Here you go guys. Sorry didn't get a chance to wash it but it still looks better than stock. I definitely feel the need to put some kind of drop on it now. How much of a drop I'm not sure of, but a little less gap would be nice.
