The best speakers i have ever heard almost no distortion at any volumes is the Infinity Kappas. I have those in the doors, and a Infinity basslink in my 1997 c230, the whole setup sounds beautiful together. You wouldn't be disappointed. The headunit I Use is Alpine, the one thats Made for the Apple Ipod. Puts out very clean, clear sound. If you want the bass to come in the cabin, take the foam thats in the extra space in the rear deck out. or if you do don't have that, remove the rear speakers put the covers back on and the bass will travel from the trunk into the cabin really well. i used the speaker wires that was on those back stock subs to power the Basslink. I didnt have to run any remote wires as it turns itself on and off as it senses power from the speaker wires.

just wondering... what set up do some of y'all have for your car?
im trying to get different ideas. is it a good or bad or just not matter for example say i get alpine speakers for front and rear deck but a different brand for my rear doors...im not saying im doing that but is it bad to mix and match brands of speakers or does it really not matter?

it doesn't matter as long as they are good known brand, but they should't be bass or treble, they should be mid-range
