Sorry I posted wrong car.

" things can give you water in the car,,remove the grill in front of front windscreen and clean out the drains in the bottom of the heater air intake box.

If you have a sun roof, then clean the drains on that too

you might wanna check the drain vents on your wiper. It's located on the front passenger side just right below the windshield. In most cases, that drain should let all the water out. But when it gets dirty and clogged, it'll start flooding the inside of your car.

I think that I got the windows to work by using the remote infra-red near the door. Billbugger helped me on that one under W203.

My big problem now is the water. Thinking about getting a boat for it.

rfoo mentioned a clogged drain somewhere around the pass. side wiper blade but I went out to look and I am not certain as to how or where to find the drain. I was thinking of taking a coat hanger or ??? and cleaning it, but still haven't found it.

I am too cheap to buy a book. Any one got a pdf or ??? regarding this?

you won't really see the drain rght away because it has the grey cover with holes in it. you have to remove that first to see the drain.

Hi rfoo;

Is the grey cover you are referring to held in place by 2 screws in the center (wiper blade area) or the entire piece of plastic running across the entire grill?

Does the long cover just pop off or are there hiden screws?

I found out how to remove the plastic piece with the holes in it and when looking down inside, I also see a rectangular hole nearest the hood hinge.

But it looks clean. Nothing blocking it.

And by the way thanks for the other links. It is getting easier by the minute.

I don't really see any hose coming from it as mentioned on the other link.

It hasn't rained and I am afraid to put the garden hose to that hole.

Am I being too paranoid? ;>)

Yeah ! I don't think it would harm anything cause that drain is made for flushing out water and that's the only way to find out if something is clogged. Just make sure you don't pour water into it to the point that it would really flood. Just try and see if the water drains fast or slow.

If it drains fast then we're looking on to a different problem.

LOL, my house just floated away.

I just hosed the car - 1st the windshield area. waited a few minutes. Water ran out by the front pass. tire. The back floor didn't seem to swamp. Then I tried wetting the trunk, same thing, water ran out by the back tire. Then the roof/skylight - nothing, unless I have to really soak it for a 1/2 hour or so. Finally the back side window - nothing but of course the floor is still wet from the other day. Maybe I should keep the hose on it more than a minute or two. and or wait add much more water?

maybe you have a hole underneath your car? How wet is it? Does it feel like a pitcher of water drop on the area or is it only a small portion of the car?

I would guessimate about 1/2 pitcher of water - Depends on what bar you go to. ;>)

I may have to really drown the car for about 1/2 hour or so. Or maybe I fixed it by flooding water down through the wiper area? Not really sure but the water didn't grow after flooding all parts of the car.

I don't know when we will see rain again in these parts so I am just going to pretend it is fixed for now. If I see otherwise I will magically reappear. LOL

nope not yet. I still have my remote and hoping that it won't die on me otherwise I'm in dead serious trouble. But I'm still looking for options before going to the dealership.
