Eibach Springs and lowering the car

I wanted to get some Eibach Springs to lower my W202. The springs themselves seem to run around $260 or so - but how much is labor to install something like this?

What is the average/fair price to get this installed? Is there any other way to lower the car?

If you go to a shop, you should be prepared to pay $300 to $400. Some people have been lucky to find shops willing to do it in the $200 range, but that is rare. You can buy the special spring compressor for Mercedes and do it yourself if you are into this stuff and are safe. Read the various MB archives for tips on how to do it.

My Professional Two Cents

Pick a reputible shop someone with experience and let him know he's got your business first time you do business with him slide him a twenty that twenty will go a long way for you!

It's called scratching backs its works for everybody

I have eibach pro kit installed myself I recommend bilstien sport shocks with them my oem shocks really need to be replaced and will this season at that.

You also have other spring kits about. however I like eibach they've been around a long time hint when ordering your springs make sure they were manufactored recently... not that I think steel ages which it does...

Yeah around $300 or so depending on the area or shop for the labor, should consider doing the shocks at the same time. different spring pads can fine tune your height so plan for that as well..

zdmak? also makes a compressor for $200 I think, I used it on mine without a problem, buying the actual MB compressor $$$ would be a waste if you are only doing your car.

it's pretty low. the H&R's dropped it about 2 in the front and 1.5 in the rear. I have 16's on it so it may appear not as low, but it's low. any lower and my transmission and spill cover will take a beating in Texas.

is there a specific H&R model for that drop? cause most of them say it just drops 1.2" both front and rear.

The quoted drops on most springs are often understated, and will also take time to settle.

I'm changing my Eibach Springs with KYB Shocks setup at the moment... They're too low for my likings... If anyone is interested in buying the setup let me know, they've been on for 3 months and have approximately 1.5k miles on them.

Here's a pic showing the drop:

Yes, Eibach Pro Kit with KYB Gas-A-Just shocks... 10mm spacers front, 20mm back. (with appropriate length extended lug bolts)

I'm changing the whole setup to H&R Springs with Bilstein shocks.

If anyone is interested in the Eibach/KYB setup PM me, I'll make you a smokin' deal!

Someone else PM'd me as well about the kit... Basically I'm not ready to sell just yet as my springs haven't been delivered yet, but hopefully I can have all of the new stuff put on by next weekend.

What would you think about $350 shipped via fedex for the KYB shocks and Eibach ProKit? Keep in mind they're barely at break in and you're saving about $300 after shipping. Also, you'll have to use your factory rubber grommets with the shocks because the ones that came with the KYB's were too short and caused rattling and the nuts at the top hit the shoulder of the screw before tightening down on the grommet. Switching out with OEM grommets fixed this issue.

This offer is open to anyone, but as stated I'm not ready to sell until the new stuff is on.
