Cheap clear corners good idea?

I want to get some clear corners for my car and I was looking at these on ebay: Clear corners

They're cheap but will there be quality issues? How do they hold up and would they fit well?

I got some of the smoked ones on ebay, so far they've been great. I've had them for a few months, no problems.

I'm running non-bosch clear corners too, nothing wrong with them yet.

Only problem is that with mine, i had to use an OEM part so the bulb would fit. :\

The only thing I have read is that ebay ones are known for falling out at inopportune times.

How can they fall out when theyre clipped on correctly? It takes a bit of pressure to release them once theyre fit in tightly, just like OEM.

I don't know because I don't have them but you can read multiple posts on club202 about it and ask the people who have had it happen to them.

Happened to me, I ended up ordering another set. The driver side fell for unknown reason, it's been there for a year now and I've been running high speed on freeways as high as 170kph. I don't know what went wrong that day. It's just weird. anyways...

It has the same clip with the OEM but I have no idea what happened that day. I was running a 100kph with just a slight turn, next thing i heard was a big knock on my car and check my mirror... saw my corner light lying on the road. The corner glass of the lamp chip off but everything was intact.

Nevertheless they're good. No moist or anything annoying building up inside the lens. The new set I have, I tied a plasic strap as a back-up in case it might happen again.

Thanks for the input. I guess I'll take my chances and try them out...maybe take some precautions like rfoo. Even if they do end up falling out, they're cheap anyway haha

I think you should do the plastic strap back up so as to be sure. I don't really know what they call that strap but cops sometimes use them as handcuffs. Is it nylon strap? It's the one with a square box and you just insert the other end to lock the whole thing.

Just once and driver side ONLY and I don't think it will fall off again with the back up zip tie. Keep your original and just buy the cheap one on ebay, you wouldn't want to spend money on a brand new OEM in case you change your mind. It's pretty expensive.

Yea, and the real bosch clear corners go for at least $60 on ebay.
