Central Lock Issue

My rear driver side door doesn't lock whenever I press the lock button on my car. It will respond on my unlock command but won't with the lock.

Any idea what's causing this problem?

Maybe a vacuum leak? Perhaps you should disassemble the door and see what you can find.

It could be a bad door lock actuator. But I also recomend removing the door card to see what the problem is.

central locking issue

as far i know, it all operates via vacuum pump located in the right side boot. it's tucked underneath the sidings.

one thing i like this car, everything runs on vacuum. even the headlight adjuster. it gets its vacuum from the intake manifold to move the headlight angle up and down.

He mentioned that his rear driver side door was having problems. So I recommended that he check, the rear door Vacuum actuator on his W202.

Where did I say that the central lock has an actuator?

Issue resolved.

Mechanic greased up my actuator and it worked fine. He said it just dried out.
