96 C280 Misfire Rough Idle Lack of Power
First off my 96 c280 runs fine until it gets warm. Then the engine starts to act up. If parked on hill problem is horrible and car dosn't want to run at all. When warm car rpm will surge up and then go back to idle sometimes. Not sure what to do about this please anyone have any insight? I have changed spark plugs and it seemed worse than before no check engine light is on although i would think it should be at this point the little i with lightbulb light is on not sure what it means it also asks for a code when i turn on factory radio please help i am not used to these issues and not sure where to start i tried unplugging the maf sensor and it didn't help. Will order new one maybee o2 sensors are bad as well???

Ive been also having mine like that now for about 6 months,no misfire when you start it in the morning but as soon as the engine gets warm then here comes the misfiring. My car does also eat quiite a bite of antifreeze when I drive it thru the city (Robots and stops.....traffics) but does ok on freeways, I dont really know if this has to do with the misfire as I think that my bad head gasket is causing it. The car isnt that lazy though as the rings are still fine but only that misfire is bothering me and the noise it makes.Does anybody have any idea of what that might be?

have a similar problem with my 1995 c280. check engine wiring harness for deterioration of wire insulation flaking off, which causes bared wires to short circuit, causing erratic idling.
