Tire Rack recommends 225s ... is 235 too wide? It's a 17" AMG rim.

Thanks ... car is completely stock. Is there an advantage to the 235 size over the 225? They are just a little wider, yes?

You will get hardly noticable better handling. You will lose wet traction (hardly) and lose gas mileage.

just perusing the accessories catalog ... which for the 7.5X17 size says "requires body modification and fender rolling" for C Class. True? Or will they bolt right on there?

if u do decide to do the HR cup kit. or cut springs u will need to do fender rolling. if the tires are tucked. then u need to roll fender. if no tuckl u do not need to roll fender.

the 17x7.5 ET35? or was it 30? will fit. the stock C43 or C36 rims will fit or the SLK

Thanks for the assistance. The seller agreed to put 225 Dunlops on for me instead of the 235 Michelins, so it should be perfect now.

Except for the fact that you're getting Dunlops instead of Michelins.

Well, hell ... $895 for a mint set of 17" AMG's with 85 percent tread on the Dunlops, who's complaining? :-)

Actually, the C280 is my bad-weather bad-traffic driver; I have a 95 Carrera 4 with P-Zero's to run hard.
