Battery??? BAS/ESP
My BAS/ESP light keeps going on and off. It seems to turn off after I restart the car after I've been driving for 20 min. I have two questions... 1) is it possible that the battery can still start my car but weak enough voltage to set off my light? And 2) I've read in my owners manual when your BAS/ESP light is on you lose power... do you lose horsepower? Or just your bas/esp?? PLEASE HELP!!!!

have you also lost your cruise control.......check don't assume it works ? If you have NO cruise you need to change your Brake light switch. Will take care of light, The B/L switch is the gremlin for loads of light problems

Thanks 99.. ill check to see if my cruise control works.. I'm hoping its that switch rather then the battery or alternator since its cheaper. Do you know if you lose horsepower when the light is on?

Do a search for, "BAS or ESP light on". There is a way to reset the module, especially if you replaced the sensor. It involves turning your steering wheel left-to-right, lock-to-lock.
