P0446 AND stalling out.
Yo, I tried posting this questions in a few relevant threads but to no avail. They must have been to old to be noticed. I am trying a new thread in the hopes that it will catch the eye of someone who can shed some light on my situation.
I had my MIL come on and the engine rpm would bog to below 500 or so and the car shudders when I come to a stop and sometimes it even shuts down completely. I hit it with a scanner and the only code that it showed was P0446: EVAP vent control circuit. None of the other threads mentioning P0446 mentioned any low speed bogging or stalling...
My real question is, should P0446 or any related problems cause the engine to stall. I believe it to be some sort of vacuum leak because I recreated the shaking/bogging by removing the purge valve - throttle body hose from the throttle body creating a massive vacuum leak. I also checked the purge valve itself by removing and activating it and it seems to work just fine, Click. Click. I just have not checked the canister vent valve yet because it's much harder to access.
Could a faulty canister vent valve create any drive-ability issues at all???

Nope, the pump stops and I'm done. All I do is turn the pump handle upside down and jiggle it to not drip fuel when I put it back. I've also noticed that canister vent valves are tough to find. Even on autohauz it was an obscure part.

Solenoid vent
Aren't the solenoid and vent valve the same. I removed the whole unit from the canister and was able to activate the solenoid. It clicks and seals off the vent. Same thing with the purge up front. They're both tip top.
