No surprises, just a couple clamps. I used the Mercedes Jack on one side and place the spare underneath for safety. It is an easy job. You can choose to replace the two hoses if they are dry rotted. Mine were fine. Have you done any previous work on your C280?

Yes I did, I changed the oil and oil filter, I also replaced the MAF I replaced the Cabin Filter and the Engine Air Filter, I also purchased an OBD II and I can read if I have a "Check Engine" light on. I replaced the Power Antenna. Thanks to this Forum, I ask , then I implement. I also cleaned the throttle Body with BG. Now I am looking forward to replace the Gas Filter.

Funny you ask about the A/C
Last summer I had a leak as a result of hot air, so I went to a local shop, and they found a schrader valve leaking, it was replaced plus filled with freon, and I was happy for the rest of the 2010 summer. This year I turned it on 6 weeks ago for the first time and it was cold, I used it for 3 weeks, and hot air again, I took it to a different shop and they put 3 things, FREON, OIL, and DYE, they drove it full blast for 30 minutes and could NOT pin point "any" leak. So no repairs were done, and so they told me to drive it for a week and take it back. Well the air is very cold, why should I take it back? I am happy right now.

Hmmm, I had tbe same issue last year. I was told it was the evaporator core. I want to test it again because they couldn't find a leak before so they assumed it must be under the dash. (Evaporator Core) I wish there was a way of testing it without going under the dash.

Hey friend, on your OBD II device, where did you get the software for your vehicle? A buddy of mine has one but it doesn't have the foreign vehicle software.
