The most stressful days of my life.

I don't know what to do. I have a set of 19''Carlsson 1/6 evo's on my car. A few days ago I drove into a pothole dug up by the city. Might I ad there were no signs telling me of an open hole or of any consruction in the neighborhood. I almost dodged it, but still got two or three inches of my front right tire on it. I thought nothing happened, the keyword being "thought".

I went home the next day and while I was washing the car, I noticed my rims lip was not only bent it was also cracked. After going a few places to see if it was repairable, I got the same answer everywhere..."nope, we can't fix it." So I gave up and went to F1 Motorsports to get a new one, and to my luck, they told me I was the last set to get it from them before Carlsson discontinued the rims.

I don't know what I'm gonna do. If you have any suggestions or know anyone who is willing to sell one, please notify me it will help alot. Thanks.

This might help

I'd call the city (if you were within their jurisdiction) or the county office regarding street maintainence / repairs.

You'll probably have to file a claim, but many jurisdictions will take responsibility for damages...

Hopefully, you won't be out the $$ for replacing the wheel.

I just had a co-worker that had this happen to his motorcycle wheel and not only did they get the claim info, they fixed the pothole within 24 hours.

Here in SF, potholes are so poorly maintained, you constantly have to be on the watch for them.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!! Those are my absolute favorite rims. Have you tried Tirerack? They are trying to get rid of the rest of their Carlsson stuff. I had the same problem with my last set of wheels. The Mille Miglia wheels that I ordered had been discontinued. 6 days after I got them on my car I bent two of them on a pothole. When I went to order a new one I found out they only had 3 left in stock so I ordered all of them so I wouldn't be in your situation. Of course with my luck the 3rd one is still in the unopened box and now I have a new set of rims. Oh yeah, check Ebay. I see Carlsson rims on there all the time. Good luck.

Just bill them for the price of one rim and hopefully you'll find one on Ebay.

update

I'm gonna try on last place. My body shop guy told me he takes all his rims there and they have fixed rims that had pieces missing, so I am pretty happy now...but I can't find my original lug nuts. Got to stop at Steigler for a moment and pick some up.
