Front spring removal?
Front spring removal?
I'm going to lower the car in a few days and had a few questions about how to remove the front springs. I've done the "search" and those who has done it required the Mercedes type spring compressor. My question is can I do this with the floor jack. As in, use the jack to compress it, then release the pressure slowly to release it? has anyone gone this route? How safe is it? I know there is some risk involved but just how risky is too risky? I plan on R&R (remove and reinstall) till I get the height I want. So it might take a few days at the most. Oh one more thing, front camber kit? I know there's a few on here who are practically sitting on the ground. How did you go about fixing the camber? Yes, KMAC I know but other options please. Input and advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Please DO NOT use a jack! Use the Mercedes-Benz spring compressor! Safety first, and it's not worth the aggravation. I've done plenty of these springs, and it has A LOT of tension and pressure even when I use the Mercedes-Benz spring compressor!
