Is the 98 C280 Sportster a relatively problem free car? What about the engine-any problems?

You do realize the rice is associated with Japanese cars don't you? What's a good German food?

I don't know if "good" is a prerequisite... I don't particularly care for plain rice, but it is certainly a staple of the Asian diet. So maybe we should ask Asians what they think is a staple of the German diet? I can only think of a few things (and most people who haven't been to Germany really don't know what is eaten a lot there).

The one I like most is "schnitzel".

I think I'll go to all the ricer boards and start calling the German car drivers "schnitzelers" (not Schnitzers because then that will be BMW only). This could be a trend.

alright guys/girls, i do not mean to start any type of commotion or animosity between fellow forum members. if my name offends any of you, i apologize. it is just a funny name that i coined much earlier and decided to keep.

i understand "rice" is usually associated with japanese import cars (my other 3 cars are japanese) but "rice" itself is an umbrella term that covers any type of aftermarket modification that does not improve performance and is solely for aesthetic purposes. technically speaking, the clear corners that are so popular on the W202s are actually "rice". you cannot say that putting clear corners on a civic is rice where clear corners on a german car is not. i agree with you that there is a lot of rice out there (i.e. street glow, LED windshield washer nubs, wings that are bigger than the car itself, etc) and which is distasteful in my opinion. however, you all must remember that what you hate might be what someone else loves (those "ricers" may hate stuff we do) so, there might be a lot of stupid **** out there that looks retarded but you gotta remember that it might not be so retarded to others.

scorchie, you are correct in saying rice is a major staple of the asian diet and that it may not be a food that all asians admire. i for one do not like rice.

in summary, a lot of the stuff we call each other is F'ed up. the "ricers" don't like us and we don't like them, generally speaking. but that's the way it goes so we can't do much about that. my purpose here was not to lecture you or defend either side (lol, im actually caught in between). im just trying to dispel some of the false accusations going around. please, can't we all just get along and live a happy life???

chill. i like rice. At first I was eating some and I had the urge to sneeze but i couldn't stop it so i sneezed it all over my table and i tried to catch some with my hands but i couldn't get all of it and some rebounded and stuck to my face. who cares if someone calls you rice, my car is ricier than any of your cars. All my mods are for show, they do nothing for performance at all, in fact most of my mods SLOW my car down. Rice I Am. I Am Rice.

I like dirty rice. What anymosity? We're like this all the time. To us, the clear corners are not rice because we are changing our cars back to the way they are in Germany.

Ricers' hate us? Evey time I drive by a Civic with yellow stickers on it they're like, "man, that car is off the hook!!!" That's not the way I talk but that's what they say. Some Japanese cars look good after modifications. There are so many out there with chrome hubcaps and yellow stickers that it ruins the image of the 400+ hp Accords and 300Z's.
