1995 C220 Spark Plugs
Greetings Merced-Benz enthusiast and owners!
I recently bought a 1995 C220 with 170k miles. The car was driving fine but seemed a bit underpowered and kept wanting to die at idle. I drove down to my local Mercedes Benz dealer and picked up the spark plugs and air intake filter. I asked at the dealer what the gap for the spark plugs was and I was told they would be pre-gapped. When I changed the spark plugs the car was driving fine but after driving it for about 2 minutes the gas pedal was losing power and the car kept wanting to turn off. Any ideas what it could be? Do I need to properly gap the spark plugs? If so, does anyone know what the gap should be on this precise model? I appreciate your help, friends!
