w202 headlight LENS
Just thought I'd pass this along to those who have cracked headlights. Was at the independent yesterday for oil change, check this check that :p
I mentioned about the headlight and asked can the lens itself be replaced instead of the entire housing. He said it use to be that you needed to replace the entire housing on the 94-96 w202's but a company just started producing lens for replacement. I gave him the part number (don't have it now, it's at home, i'll put it up later tonight) and he checked the computer.
Special order the lens as most dealers/independents don't carry it in stock. $130 for the lens...better than paying about $400-$500 for the entire assembly if nothing else is broken but the crack!

so much for Electric Insurance...doesn't sound right though: I just had 2 lenses replaced and got a check in the mail reimbursing me for the $145.00 I spent for the driver's side rear view mirror.

I'll e-mail electric insurance general help from their website and see if they say the same. Thanks!

I have the replacement glass beckers lenses. They make a wider beam pattern than stock. I highly recomend installing stone guard after changing your lenses so you don't have to worry about chips anymore.
