if it's the bulb behind it, cost you 10 bux and 20-30 minutes of your time or you could go to the dealer and pay a few hundred for them to do the 20-30 minute job for you.
if it's the bulb that's burnt out, i can explain how to take out the cluster and replace it yourself

I don't know if it's just the bulb (I wanted to take a picture of it, but I couldn't get to it before my wife took the car to work). Basically 70,488 could look like 7[ 13E or something like that; does that sound like the bulb or the cluster?

you can usually find used clusters on ebay and then you can have the dealer program it to the amount of miles you have on your car currently so that they match.
If you call up Hatch & Sons in wayland, they are pretty good with prices. They quoted $500 for our ML's cluster (cuz gas gauge sometimes acts up and doesn't register the amount of gas but it's been good for a while now so we held off). Give Ed a call and see what he can do in terms of looking at the cluster itself or replacing it

when I got the car, the broker said that he sees messed up LED's on MB's and BMW's all the time, though that has not been widely supported here on the forums.

at the time, he said, "you'll never see that on a Lexus", but I agree; this lehuyvu is the first (other than me) I've encountered. I can't believe I'll find a good one on ebay but I sure will try.

GDawg, is this similar to what I have to buy (to solve the odometer issue)?

have you seen how on ebay, these are marketed as a way of falsifying your mileage? I'm concerned that there's no guarantee that the "new" cluster won't have the same problem, as they aren't pictured powered up; also I wonder what a dealer would charge for the reset, and how they would determine how many miles I even have....
