window tint scratches help

i want to have my car re-tinted. i noticed that my current tint has some fine scratches on the windows. is this a common problem with 202s or do i just have dirty inner door trims?
thanks.

I have scratches in mine as well. they're pretty noticable. Unfortunatley, the only way to fix it is to pay up for new tint.

If your window system is like the 203, then your film could be getting scratched from an internal window part. Now moleskin or felt is used as a buffer to eliminate this problem. Price range is from $10-$25 per door. I think it is worth it unless, you have a shop that will replace the tint if it scratches. I only know of a couple that do this........

Thanks.
Also, what brand of tint is a very good brand? I have heard of Huber Optik. Does anyone have this tint currently?
Awiner the moderator said there is a good shop in North Hills....

Thanks for the advice. I think North Hills is quite a drive. It's okay, I have this guy in Torrance, I will just tell him to put a felt or moleskin strip. I will let you know how the tinting goes in a couple of weeks.

Incidentally, I notice you have Vogtland springs? Is that the only aftermarket ones you've fitted? I am planning on getting H&Rs, I just thought you can help me with some feedback on springs.

hey eurowerkzz,

what brand of film do you have? let me know after you get it re-tinted how it goes. do you want to try putting a felt strip on the inside trim?

i don't know yet about the %, 20 is i think too dark for me. let us know how your re-tinting goes.

A piece of felt? I dunno how to take apart the side, hopefully I get around to it this week.

I wish I went 20% all around, but maybe I'll have to do 5% all around so it all matches
