HeadLamp Burned out, recommendations?

So last night the right headlamp bulb burned out. Is low beam and high beam contained in one bulb? These are 55w total? How come some super whites i see are bosch 35w?

Does any one recommend any new kind of lightbulbs? Or should I just stay stock?

Thanks!

Sanny

The low bean and high beam bulbs are seperate,
I would recommend staying with stock bulbs.. or go with a superwhite or faux xenon bulb that is a direct replacement bulb.

I believe the low beams are H7 and the fog and high beams are H1. I have heard about the zenon look-alike bulbs and decided to try them out. I went to Walmart and picked up a set of H7 silverstars. Took me a little bit to get the old bulbs out (a mirror can help you see how to release the metal clasp). Drove them at night and liked them enough to upgrade the hi beams. I left the fog lamps as stock. I also kept the old bulbs just incase i didnt like the new ones. I have heard both good things and bad things about using the bulbs so I can only talk from my own experience. A friend put them on his jeep and lexus as well, and was equally pleased. Hope that helps.

What ever you decide to do, make sure you get the right voltage. If not you risk melting the bulb connectors. Take a look at what happened with the Hyperwhites that someone posted.
