this is the most shy forum the I have seen....getting the DVD discs and not the CDs as the DVDs cover more years and car
models (if I correctly recall). Also, watch the seller's feedback cause I've seen
some with 80% positive feedback. Good luck with it. Yeah, that's something
I'd like to own as well. Keep us posted.
I have a 5 CD set (non DVD) which is factory info that someone can grab for $100 shipped if you want. I bought for my brother but he installed once and decided to play soldier right afterwards so it's just sitting unused. I don't want to switch to Win2000 which this set requires to I'm not using it. I bought when it was $300 earlier in the year.
ID on ebay is "ray-mond". I do plan to get WIS / MB version when I get off my butt and only if it is XP compliant. Too stubborn (and cheap) to change opsys.
Sad to see the decline of paper shop manuals. Last ones for MB were c. 1997-8 from Bentley publishers.
I lost the CD#1 so I'm stuck
And the seller is gone from ebay so I basically lost my money

The Best of Mercedes & AMG
but I'm prety sure it's the same thing, it had very long installation instructions requiring windows 2000, but the person told me he/she was able to install it on windows xp later.
maybe I could buy you the cd1.
it is supposed to be the "real" WIS.

93-00 C-Class Service & Repair Manual for Mercedes by Haynes in hardcover edition covering C180-250 normally aspirated 4 cyl. gas and all Diesel & Turbo Diesel models. incl C220 (97_3511)
have in mind for your vehicle. I have the Haynes book(s) at work and
they're no where near the detail of information found in the factory
manuals or CDs. I'm not kidding. Over half dozen model years, and
numerous models in one book about an inch thick isn't going to cut it
in terms of detailed fixes, photos, and diagrams. The later models are
more heavily equipped with black boxes, electronics (not just electrics)
that only the Bentley or WIS produced info will cover the nitty gritty.
For the most basic of info however, it will do just fine.
1) Passenger seat belt tensioner broke (does not take up slack)
2) horn broken,
3) abs does not activate
4) glove box latch broken
5) radio doesn't turn on
6) heater fan motor bearing noise <--- i ordered the fan motor
7) heater fan doesnt shut off even when controls off <--- i ordered the heater resistor
8) sunroof doesn't operate (motor works) <--- i noticed that the sunroof cables aren't there
9) side mirror controls broken
I am trying to research part numbers however it seems that only the dealers have access to this info.... also does the reference manuals that u have include MB part numbers?
If they make a mistake and get you the wrong part it is their fault and they will exchange it; if you go in with a part number in hand and made a mistake then too bad for you.
