Made An Accident
Hi guys,,
Am sorry to say that today I made an accident, I hit a taxi infront of me, I guess everyone knows how the taxi drivers braking suddenly infornt of you
Well As you see in the picture its normal , but am worry about the parktronic it shows on the display its in Red mode then it turn off,, is this a big problem and easy to fix???
Please Advise and give me some comments of your experience before I take my car to the workshop, am worry that my insurance might take it to inexpert workshop

from what ive read about PTS, if there is a problem with one sensor, then the system shuts itself off. more than likely you need to replace the damaged sensor. really no big deal, they just on plug from the wiring harness.

umm normal except that your front bumper is falling off in addition to parktronic not working right?

Doesn't look bad on the surface, but check for structural damage. Things like bumper mounts, impact zone areas, even the unibdy could be twisted.
Take it into your dealer, have them recommend a shop that does THEIR repairs...and have them fix it all to spec.
After that...pay attention to your ParkTronic display :p

Tariq, did you install PTS or was it factory? if it is factory it should all be fixed when the bumper gets repaired. if not, isnt PTS an option where you live? if so, an authorized MB repair shop should be able to obtain the parts and repair your car.

...looks like you ought to be woried about your bi xenon and bumper instead of being worried about one/some 50USD costing PTS sensor...the PTS error is easy to take care off (although it DOES require stardiagnose).
