I was wondering if H&R springs would fit from a sedan to a coupe. Is there any difference in between the springs for the 2 cars?

How about the bigger engines? What if it comes from a C32 or c240,c320?
Will it still work with my c230 coupe?

it'll work, but the spring rates will be different and might sit a bit higher

lowering a 2002 C240

I am having a garage lower my car this weekend and installing a cup kit. Is there anything to lookout for while removing the old suspension? What I mean here is this, I own a M-3 and it has an auto-leveling headlight system that is tied into the front suspension. You have to remove a small 1/4 inch bolt first on the front suspension before removing anything else or damage the leveling system. Is there anything similiar to this on this model car?

Basically is there any suprises to watchout for?

Pad # for C240

Can someone tell me what the pad number is on the rear of a 2002 C240? I see most of you are using #4 pads on rear, are they stock from factory or did you change to that size?

I'm changing out my suspension this weekend and need to know if I have to order the pads or not.

Pad #2 seems to be most common, but I've heard of some having different pads. As for your previous question, cars with the xenon lighting package have autoleveling hardware attached to the front swaybar. Not sure of anything else you need to look out for.

thanks, I'll call the dealership and order #4. It appears that most use #4 on the rear.

But do you want the rear lower or higher? I'm pretty sure #1 is the smallest and #4 is the biggest spring pad. Not positive anymore cuz it's been a while since I had OEM springs.

even with the front, so I'm going to gamble here and go with #4. See how it shakes out.

I see. Since the pads are very inexpensive, I'd just buy the #3 and #4. That way, if the #4 doesn't sit exactly where you wanted and is too high, you can go down to the #3 automatically.

I'm going to roll the dice on this one. I ordered #4's @ $32.00 plus tax.

sport cup-kit will lower the car 1/2 inch more in the front also slightly stiffer. little difference in height for the rear. I'd go with the sport if I were you.

Hmmm, H & R brand is what they sell, do you think 19" tires will rub when I hit any bumps?
